The things they say part 4

"Smoshmallows." --Dancy

"Don't wake me up." - Dancy
"Why?" - Shad
"Because I'll kiiiill you!" - Dancy, in a soft, sleepy voice while stretching

Katie keeps commenting on different animals that Samson is like. When he makes squeaky sounds while nursing he is a baby horse. When he makes hiccup sounds after eating he has a baby rooster. "And it looks like he has chicken legs!"

"Joslyn is my favorite cousin. I can pretend she's my cousin." - Dancy

"Dad what was it like when you were a teenager?" - Tommy
"Well lots of girls liked me and wanted to kiss me but I didn't know."
"And boys too?" - Dancy
"Yes."
"Did you and Levi have sex?" - Tommy
(We like to ask them where they heard words when they say things like this. Tommy heard the word sex in a YouTube video. The quote was, "Lois Lane didn't know that Clark Kent was Superman even after they had sex." The video was talking about an old Superman movie where the two were married and yet his secret identity remained secret.)

"Dad I'm getting strong because when I'm strong I can smack your nipples!" - Dancy

"Little girls in red dresses like to spin." - Dancy

"The kids got shot at the hospital! It's okay. They have Band-Aids." - Dancy

"Say 'Please.'"

The one-year-old is upset that I asked her to say "please" for her apple.

And the fit raged harder when I took her hand to make her sign it.

Shad calls her DQ for Drama Queen.

It was a rough morning for her.

Note that her apple slice was on her tray the whole time, yet she continued to throw her tantrum because I made her say "please."

Mr. Sam

Hey baby, remember that time Dadda and I went on a date and brought you to the movie theater with us? We watched Captain America: Civil War. You sat in your stroller in the candy storage closet while we worked at the concession stand. You needed to eat once right when the movie started and did so very well in the theater. Then you fussed for like 10 seconds so I took you out and swaddled you. You happily cuddled on me like that and then fell asleep. Best. Baby. Ever.

And look at these cute little elf ears!

I think I'll dress him as Legolas for Halloween. Maybe Elrond.

This babe loves to talk and flirt!

And I love nothing more than to talk and flirt back with him.

He likes to play and get exercise. We're never going to cut his hair, so don't cross him. And he loves to giggle! We haven't caught it on video, but occasionally he'll giggle in his sleep! That's our favorite.

Thora's Vocabulary

Thora says Mom, Dad, yum, ball, book, shoes, socks, bow, bird, hot sauce, fish, hello, bye, Samson, Katie, and Tommy. She said apple once this week. Oh, and she also says baby now but she uses that to refer to her dolls not to Samson.

There's this new baby journal app that I want to use or rather it's not available yet but it's supposed to be this spring. It's called Qeepsake. And until it's ready I'm just going to be posting my little thoughts and feelings about the kids on the blog here so that they get recorded somewhere. And this works for me because I can do speak to text. And blog from my phone!
