Ending April with a Bang...or a Snowstorm

Samson had fun playing with Dancy in her bed.

Thora is a diva and loves taking pictures. It helps keep her quiet at the church or library when needed.

Oi! This was a...fun...day. I found this lovely artwork in the little kids' room. With my name on it. After extensive interrogation, my prime suspect owned up to it. Dancy said she was practicing drawing balloons and writing my name.

On the wall, too. We had a discussion about where coloring is allowed and that if she needs help getting supplies, she needs to ask. And then I ended up hauling the dresser out to the trash. It was falling apart, dysfunctional anyway.

While I was busy with the Dancy interrogation, Thora found chocolate.

All of the kids got a notebook and pen in their Easter baskets. Tommy decided to study insects and take notes in his, like Jack in the Magic Tree House series. I forget what all of his shorthand means, but he wrote the first letter of each word because we haven't worked on spelling yet and he felt a single letter was faster than sounding out words.

Vroom, vroom, baby!

Then on April 30, we got hit with a snowstorm.

I didn't let the kids out to play til the next day, so here we are, playing in snow on May Day.

Peach tree and a Sundance!

After playing with the snow (which was icy from freezing overnight and thus, not good for snowballs), we had hot chocolate and somehow that developed into a mini marshmallow fight in the living room.

Samson was so happy to find lost marshmallows under the couch!

And then Katie and Tom decided to diaper each other. Then Dancy taunted them and told them to try to catch her for a diaper. They did and successfully wrestled her into it.

And then May 2, we had rivers with currents flowing through our brick roads.
